A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced bookkeeper to join our growing accountancy practice based in Abbots Leigh, Bristol. The team has over 50 years’ experience within practice, providing a full suite of accounting and business management support to an array of clients.
The successful candidate will be managing a portfolio of clients which will mainly consist of Sole Traders and SMEs of varying sizes. The system of choice is Xero, so previous experience with this cloud-based software would be beneficial.
The standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm, with flexible working arrangements. The office doesn’t benefit from great transport links, however there is free on-site parking.
Typical duties:
- General bookkeeping duties
- Balancing accounts
- Processing invoices
- Bank reconciliations
- Completing VAT Returns
- Checking company statements
- Management Account Preparation
What we are looking for:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience working as a bookkeeper, ideally from a practice background.
- Previous experienced with Xero and MS Office (namely word and excel).
- Must hold a full UK Drivers licence.
- AAT Qualified – would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
